Clinical assistants are most effective when they map naturally to a doctor’s physical workflow. When dealing with complex patient metrics or diagnostic references, clinicians cannot afford to browse nested folders.

The Anesthesia platform solves this by dividing its functionality into four robust, interactive modules. Each module targets a key operational bottleneck to reduce cognitive load and streamline hospital care.

Here is an analysis of these modules and their technical execution.


1. Interactive 2D Body Selector Map

Locating physical exam guidelines usually involves flipping through extensive textbooks. In Anesthesia, this is replaced by a highly responsive, clickable 2D vector body selector map:

  • SVG Hotspots: The map utilizes interactive SVG nodes mapped to anatomical regions (e.g., knee joint, temporal lobe, chest cavity).
  • Physical Exam Guidelines: Clicking any region immediately triggers a slide-out panel containing physical exam procedures and guidelines.
  • AI-Driven Sync: Physical exam results are automatically synced with the consultation module, loading relevant historical clinical queries instantly.

2. Structured Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG)

Standard clinical guidelines are often fragmented. The CPG Module provides offline access to structured, comprehensive guidelines organized by clinical specialties (including Psychiatry, Orthopedics, and Interventional Radiology).

Features include:

  • Direct PDF Hyperlinking: Instant, offline-cached links to official medical documents.
  • Google Query Fallback: In the rare event that a specific clinical guideline is missing, the module dynamically builds a precise, refined query for quick searching.

3. The Intelligent AI Data Sync Pipeline

Medical knowledge is constantly evolving. To keep the offline medical reference database current without manual updates, we built an intelligent AI Data Sync Pipeline:

  1. Automated Scraping & Crawling: Periodically scans clinical databases and medical publications for new articles and changes.
  2. AI Analysis: Summarizes changes and flags potential conflicts with existing guidelines.
  3. Human-in-the-Loop Validation: Presents changes in a beautiful, side-by-side diff editor. Clinicians review changes manually before syncing them to the production build, guaranteeing absolute reference accuracy.

4. Context-Aware Medical Calculators

Finally, to assist bedside calculation, the Calculator Module aggregates essential calculators (BMI, Creatinine Clearance, Pediatric and Adult dosing) into a single, keyboard-navigable view.

By grouping patient parameters dynamically, calculations are performed on the fly as patient weight or age fields adjust, providing immediate safety warnings if toxic values are typed.

By organizing these modules into a cohesive Next.js 16 environment, the Anesthesia platform represents a major step forward for high-performance clinical software.
